When it comes to pediatric speech therapy, research shows that the earlier a child receives high quality intervention, the better the outcome.

We are passionate about having clients start therapy with us as early as possible. From birth to age 5, a child’s brain develops more rapidly than at any other time in their lifetime. We often see the fastest progress and greatest changes in this age group.

Our therapists are qualified to work with children from birth to address feeding and speech and language development.

We often coordinate with early intervention and CPSE service providers. We are a trusted resource for families as they work to navigate services, advocate for their child and find what works best. During this critical time, we empower families and involve them in the treatment process as much as possible.

For clients who would benefit, we are able to provide our sessions outdoors on Pal-O-Mine's property, and use hippotherapy in sessions starting as early as 18 months. Many of our youngest clients benefit greatly from this.

Children ages 6 through 21 thrive at Speech in Motion.

During the school age years, children and teens face new expectations. They are often expected to make progress in school based speech therapy sessions. They may be expected to sit at a table, and speech may be delivered in groups, or through a consultation model. Their therapists may change from year to year, resulting in a lack of consistency. Because of this, progress during these very important years may be hindered. Clients may become bored or frustrated. In addition, mental health and self esteem may also be impacted significantly when therapy sessions are not neurodiversity affirming.

At Speech in Motion, we pride ourselves on supporting this age group through private speech therapy services that are fun, promote confidence, celebrate special interests, encourage self advocacy skills and help clients thrive.

We often coordinate with school based therapists, and advocate for our clients needs at home, at school and in the community. Frequently, we become a trusted member of the treatment team, providing consistency for clients and their families from year to year.
